Micropack MP-V02W Ergonomic Trackball Mouse Review

Wrist strain from a flat traditional mouse pushed me to try Micropack's Ergonomic Vertical Wireless Trackball Mouse MP-V02W, and it's been a solid change of pace.

First impressions

The vertical design keeps the palm in a natural, handshake-style position instead of the usual pronated wrist angle, and the thumb-controlled trackball means you're not moving your whole arm across a desk to navigate.

Performance and features

It runs on 2.4GHz RF wireless with roughly a 10-meter range, and CPI is adjustable across 400/600/1000/1600/2400 steps depending on how sensitive you want tracking to be. There are 5 buttons total (left, right, scroll, CPI switch, and the trackball itself), the click mechanism is quiet enough for shared office spaces, and it runs on a single AA battery. The ball itself pops out for easy cleaning, which matters over long-term use.

Is it worth it?

Regular price is $49.90, and it's currently on sale for $34.90 (31% off, save $15). For anyone dealing with wrist or forearm discomfort from a standard mouse, that's a reasonable price to try a genuinely different ergonomic layout backed by a 1-year warranty.
