SimPure Y9A Countertop RO System Review
No-installation countertop RO systems have gotten a lot more capable in the last few years, so I looked at the SimPure Y9A to see how it holds up as a plumbing-free water filtration option.
First impressions
It runs 6-stage filtration with the CF, RO, and ALK filters pre-installed out of the box, and no plumbing hookup is required — you just fill the side tank and let it filter into the reservoir below.
Performance
The upgraded 300GPD RO membrane delivers up to 26 oz per minute, with a 2.5:1 pure-to-drain ratio that's efficient for a countertop unit. It's tested by SGS to meet NSF/ANSI 58 standards, and includes water-shortage and filter-replacement alerts so you're not guessing when it's time for new filters. Output water comes out alkaline and remineralized rather than the flat-tasting water some RO systems produce.
Is it worth it?
Regular price is $439.99, and it's currently $319.99 (save $120, applied automatically at checkout). It holds a 4.46-star rating across 1,426 reviews. Every SimPure purchase also comes with free US shipping and a 1+1 year extended warranty, which is longer coverage than most countertop RO systems in this price range.
Save on your order: the Y9A is $120 off automatically, and shipping is free within the US. Shop SimPure here.
