Village Craft & Candle Freedom Soy Wax Review: Worth $24.49?

Tired of candles that lose their scent the moment you blow out the flame — or wax that cracks, frosts, and ruins your finish? If you've burned through a few disappointing batches trying to find a wax that just works, Village Craft & Candle's Freedom Soy Wax might be the fix candle makers keep coming back to.

What Is Freedom Soy Wax?

Freedom Soy Wax is a 100% natural, microwaveable soy wax from American Soy Organics, sold through Village Craft & Candle — a Canadian wholesale craft supplier trusted by professional and hobbyist candle makers across Canada and the US. At $24.49 CAD for a 5lb bag (bulk 25lb case also available), it's formulated specifically for container candles.

Key Benefits — Why It's Worth Trying

• Strong fragrance throw, hot and cold — your candle actually smells like something, both unlit and burning.
• Smooth, polished finish — minimal surface imperfections so your candles look store-bought.
• Beginner-friendly — microwaveable and easy to work with, no fussy double-boiler setup required.
• Vibrant color retention — colors stay bright throughout the candle's full burn.

Who It's For

Note: Village Craft & Candle flags this wax as NOT suitable for mold/pillar candles — it's built specifically for container candles, so if that's your format, it's a strong match. Freedom Soy Wax has earned its spot as one of Village Craft & Candle's best sellers, which says a lot on a site stocked with dozens of wax options for professional makers.

Is It Worth It?

For $24.49, you're getting a wax built for consistent scent throw and a clean finish — exactly the two things that make or break a candle batch. Right now Village Craft & Candle's Deals Collection also has up to 75% off select wax, wicks, and vessels, plus free shipping on domestic orders over $599, so it's a good time to stock up.
